I have been under the care of Dr Abir Bhattacharyya since 8 June, 2022 and continuing, being referred to him for care and treatment of a condition called Myelofibrosis. Dr Abir is very caring, friendly and courteous when he greets my wife and myself when entering his office and very pleasant to speak with. At each consultation he is always interested in my progress regarding the treatment prescribed and follows up with any additional tests when required. I would not hesitate to recommend him for treatment and care. Dr Abir’s Reception staff also have expertise in their duties, are courteous and friendly.
I’ve been seeing Dr Bose since 2022, whilst pregnant with my second born, for hypertension. After giving birth, my blood pressure was very very unstable and required adjustments to my medication sometimes daily! Dr Bose was so supportive and made himself available so that I always felt looked after and less anxious about my health. He was just an email away and always responded within a few hours (not days!). I remember him once telling me that he lost sleep because he was worried about me and made sure to check on me to make sure I was okay. That’s how I knew he was the right doctor for me. He cares about his patients. We aren’t just a number. He is not only continuing to treat me but he is now treating my husband, my brother and my aunty!! And I will continue to recommend him to anyone and everyone who needs to see a nephrologist! He’s not just amazing at what he does, he CARES. And that’s the difference between a ‘good’ doctor and ‘great’ doctor.
As a parent, having to see a specialist for our kids is always a difficult situation as there are many unknowns about what would happen during and after the consultation. But, specialists like Dr Valli Velayutham make a big difference to the overall experience by not only giving best clinical care but also adequate time to systematically go through our (parent and child) concerns and by offering comfort, education and confidence. A big chunk of overall experience starts from the time we enter the clinic and sometimes from the time of booking an appointment. The practice manager (Jaki) makes it very welcoming and comforting. I am willing to travel from Leppington to Westmead for the best clinical care and friendly service offered by the Sydney West Specialists.
