Dr Vallimayil Velayutham is a Paediatric Endocrinologist specialising in endocrine disorders and diabetes in children and adolescents. She has previously worked as a Staff Specialist at Campbelltown hospital. Currently, she is a Staff Specialist at The Children’s Hospital Westmead.

She has completed her PhD with the University of Sydney on “New insights into the pathophysiology of diabetes complications in adolescents with type 1 diabetes”. She has published her original research in peer-reviewed journals. She is interested in clinical research and teaching and has expertise in managing growth disorders, puberty, adrenal, pituitary, thyroid function, and bone health.

Dr Velayutham did her paediatric training at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane (Now merged with Queensland Children’s Hospital), and she did her sub-speciality paediatric endocrinology training at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
